May 2002 New Owners In April our well-performed Part Arabian gelding Alhambra Toledo (Alhambra Classic Wind x Koolena Crown Jewel) went to a new home with 11yo Lena Chapple of Terrey Hills NSW. It was a big step up for Lena from her 13hh pony to 16.2hh Toledo, but from their very first ride together Lena and Toledo formed a wonderful partnership. Toledo was greeted at his new home by a huge ‘Welcome Toledo’ banner on the front gate and new rugs for every occasion. We’re looking forward to regular updates from Lena on her progress with Toledo. Part Arabian gelding Alhambra Cadenze (Belbowrie Sorcerer x Alhambra Chloe) has made the long trip to Victoria to his new owner Kylie Dean. Kylie purchased Cadenze entirely from internet photos and information, so her first face-to-face meeting with her new boy was quite exciting for her. A few days after we delivered him to Victoria, Kylie sent an email saying how pleased she was with Cadenze and how thrilled she was with his calm, unflappable temperament. He is now best buddies with her aged mare. Annette Cossart, of Samford in Qld, is another satisfied client who purchased her Alhambra-bred horse entirely from internet photos and a video. Two year old Anglo gelding Alhambra Sentinel (Magic Prophecy x Shorse (ASB)) left for his new home in January and arrived a calm and seasoned traveller. A calm, sensible temperament was Annette’s No. 1 priority in her search for a new horse, so she wa thrilled when Sentinel calmly walked off the truck, surveyed his new kingdom and then looked around for lunch. A recent email from Annette tells us that Sentinel is progressing well with all his ground lessons and will be started under saddle in July. |
